You Can't Buy Style
Having a great sense of style has nothing to do with having loads of money. Style, creativity and fashion flair are completely free and just like love, can’t be bought!
A limited budget is sometimes a wonderful thing because it forces us to make choices, it means our wardrobes can be focused and our outfits are better as a result – less really is more. It’s never been more important to think creatively about fashion than it is right now. Dressing well isn’t about being loaded or shopping new, we’re entering a period where the best dressed people are going to be the ones who are comfortable with repurposing clothing that exists already and doing it with flair!
Get Inspired!
Before you start, it’s important to take time to get inspired. Visit your favourite fashion websites, online fashion magazines, social media influencers , museum exhibitions, art history, Netflix ..anything that inspires you and use the imagery that you see to give you new ideas for looks, and colour combinations. Then set to work on the clothing you already own.
1. Shop from your own wardrobe.
The majority of people only wear a tiny percentage of what's in their wardrobes. The rest doesn't see the light of day.
This weekend, take a fresh look at your wardrobe as if it's a selection of clothing that you are seeing for the first time in a store. Experiment, pull things out, try new combinations. Before you know it, you have new outfit possibilities.
2. Re-fashion existing items of clothing into new ones.
Time to get handy with a sewing machine! Re-modelling clothing can be a great way of revitalising the or giving the item a whole new look. It can be something simple - changing a maxi skirt into a mini or something more complicated.

3. Make something!
Using fabric you’ve re-purposed make something new.
