Fashion Fragments

The Shows & A Bit Of Vintage

We are coming towards the end of Paris Fashion Week and I’m savouring the last few shows - not just the clothes on the catwalk but also the celebs in attendance!

So much fashion inspiration to be had and always with one eye on the vintage/up-cycling or sewing possibilities...

Celine FW23

Celine Fall/Winter 2023 or was that 2003? So reminiscent of the early 00’s, makes you think of Kate Moss & Pete Docherty. A really easy look to create with vintage clothing

Gucci FW23

Quite a lot of yellow on the catwalks, not too dissimilar to the 90’s lime green mentioned last week. This shot is from Gucci Fall/Winter 2023

Zendaya

Zendaya wearing an absolutely amazing vintage Versace gown to the NAACP awards, this dress was originally part of Versace’s Spring/Summer 2002 collection and looks every bit as good now as it did then

Ukraine

A really thought-provoking article on Vogue.com featuring 5 Ukrainian fashion designers “reflecting on their new reality one year on from the Russian invasion”

Brixton Kilo Sale

Brixton Kilo Sale – Kilo sales are popping up all over the country and are a great inexpensive way to shop vintage. You can find your nearest on google.

How To Rescue Second Hand Clothing

And finally a really useful article from the Guardian ‘how to save second hand clothes from smells, stains and other surprises’. Enjoy!
