One More Haim!.
When Haim performed at the O2 Arena in London last week, fans were treated to special guest appearance from Taylor Swift. An incredible night of music but also some very cool stage attire that definitely deserves a mention.
Throughout the ‘One More Haim’ tour the sisters have worn custom made Louis Vuitton. Their 'London Look' consisted of wide cut, high waisted, leather pants with bra-tops, Taylor wearing the same Louis Vuitton pants but with a crop-top.
A Welcome 90's Throwback
There is a lot to love about this particular look, firstly the simplicity in the uniformity. The Haim sisters were dressed identically which was visually impactful. The styling is modern with a retro nod to 90s girl group cool, very reminiscent of the band All Saints whose style back in the day was seen as a rebellion against the saccharine sweet looks of their contemporaries. Their look was slightly tomboyish, worn with a nonchalance that was widely admired and copied by everyone. It’s becoming more and more relevant today as our interest in 90s fashion increases.
Haim’s Louis Vuitton leather pants are a generous cut with a utility feel, and just like All Saints in the 90s, the volume in the trousers is nicely balanced out with a small top – bra tops or crop tops being the perfect pairing.
90s style trousers are certainly having a moment, from wide legged, high waisted styles in leather seen at 16Alrington, Raey and Altu through to more utility and combat styles at Isabel Marant and with a more luxe feel at Tom Ford.
